Two Mango Margaritas With Tajin, Por Favor!

This year thus far has been busy, busy, busy and I haven’t really taken the time to hit the pause button on life. After recovering from a cold and going through confusing transitioning Fall-like weather, a warm getaway was much needed for the soul. The thought of getting plenty of sun while eating burgers and fries by the pool soon became more than a dream but a reality. For five days, Los Cabos, Mexico was going to be a mini retreat of pure calmness and relaxation. Like most vacations at all-inclusive resorts, the attitude to have is unrestraint. To eat, drink, and rest to your heart’s content. And that’s exactly what was done.

Here’s what we did on vacation! Warning! This blog post may trigger hunger and happiness.

Arrived at the Hyatt Ziva, Los Cabos all-inclusive resort!

Checked into our Club Swim-up Master Suite!

Included complimentary sweets, tequila, and champagne! I loved how the open concept of the bathroom looking out into the rest of the suite made everything feel so much bigger.

Enjoyed our first outdoor Mexican dinner on the main terrace with lovely acoustic performances

Rose to relaxing sunrise views every morning around 7:15AM MST.

This view takes the cake.

Went for an early evening dinner at the El Molino with chill vibes all around

Ordered a-la-carte breakfast by the beach at the Cortez with a mouthful of flavors and eyeful of sights

Absolutely loved the pulled pork eggs benedict and chicken tacos!

Dipped into the private pool before grabbing burgers and fries by the pool at the Coco Loco Snack Bar

Dined at Zaffiro for an ambient date night with Italian food and a few sips of wine

And by few I mean many glasses of red. The creamy mushroom risotto was my favorite dish of the night. Everything tasted good, and although nothing was too groundbreaking, I thought the plating was really nice!

Pool-partied by the lively Baja Bar with beach balls, music and margaritas

Heated up at a Teppanyaki dinner show at Dozo Japanese Restaurant during the last night of our stay

There was love all around us. From LGBT+ representation to the bestest of friends to 20-year wedding anniversaries all enjoying dinner and the show.

And finally said our farewells to Los Cabos, Mexico!

To Brandon, happy one year!
