I’m Artemio Rimando — a Machine Learning Engineer with ten years of experience spanning financial services, mobile gaming, cybersecurity, and telecommunications. I thrive in startup environments where creative thinking and calculated risk-taking are valued.
My research has been published at IJCAI, and I’ve collaborated with organizations like Cisco, Samsung, and the World Health Organization on projects at the intersection of AI and social impact.
I’m currently pursuing a PhD, continuing to push the boundaries of what AI and machine learning can do.

- Cisco Data Science Award for Benefitting Humanity (2020), presented by Andrew Ng — Recognized for research at the intersection of AI and social impact.
Beyond the Data
Outside of work, I create YouTube content — vlogs, travel videos, and stories from everyday life. I’m also developing independent film projects and have traveled across four continents documenting the experience.
When I’m not working or creating, you’ll find me at the gym, biking around Toronto, or playing games with my mini schnauzer, Titan.
